Slough Fort

Slough Fort

Children can be part of the ‘Bee the Change’ project, which focus on sustainability and gives them the opportunity to record their own contribution to the future. Our bee hives are next to our Community Orchard, where children can learn about the fruits and the importance of creating a valuable source of fresh fruit for our community. They will see the 52 saplings planted by the local primary students and be inspired to implement the Go Green project in their own schools, where they will provide a precious new habitat for our lovely birds, bees and butterflies. They can also take part in our archaeological activities, where they will do some hands-on historical research and examine the artefacts and the graffiti that was discovered by our volunteers while they were excavating the Wing Battery.
