Agricultural Museum, Brook

A large wooden-beamed barn with agricultural machines and equipment inside.

Agricultural Museum Brook

The site consists of a 14th century barn, an early 19th century oasthouse and a former stable block now converted to give an office, toilets and an education room with relevant equipment. Most of the collections date from the time when the power on the farm was provided by oxen, horses or people, though there are one or two slightly more recent items. Don’t let the specialist nature of the museum, combined with its rural location (with no public transport) deter you, as a large proportion of those visit leave delighted with what they have seen and the information provided.

Historic Periods

Medieval (1066-1485), Georgian (1714-1837), Victorian (1837-1901)
