Maidstone Museum

Maidstone Museum

Whether you’re looking to learn more about the Maidstone Museum dinosaurs, want to look closely at an Egyptian mummy, become an art detective investigating different art works sculpture and costume,  or to find out more about the Queen’s Own Royal West Kent Regiment, visiting Maidstone Museum enables you to experience culture and history among one of the finest museums in the South East.

Based in Chillington Manor – an Elizabethan manor house on St Faith’s Street, that has had various ‘architectural’ additions over the centuries  – Maidstone Museum is open February to December, meaning you are able to plan a visit during school summer holidays, half terms, weekends, or even weekdays with the minimum of fuss. You can find details of our opening times, as well as information on accessibility, the modern facilities, and more, by visiting our website or checking social media. Please note opening days vary during different times of the year.

Museum is mostly accessible but there is step access only to Natural History and Dinosaur galleries.
