The Powell-Cotton Museum, Quex House and Gardens
The Powell-Cotton Museum, Quex House and Gardens offer the whole family an exciting, fun and interactive day out. You will find amazing collections, a stunning house and beautiful gardens in one impressive location. Discover awesome animals from enormous elephants to tiny tortoises in our natural history galleries. Learn about cultures around the world with our amazing collection of art, photographs, jewellery and everyday objects. Get hands-on in “The Cube” where you can handle over 400 objects from costumes to small taxidermy animals. Borrow a backpack full of handy tools and toys to make exploring fun.
Stretch your legs in our seven acres of gardens. Stroll along the woodland walks, borrow garden games to play on the laws, unearth a wealth of wildlife and marvel at our Victorian walled garden filled with unusual plants. Join us on tour to view Grade II listed Quex House, filled with ornate furniture and luxurious interiors – can you find the dragons?
We run a series of exciting events and activities throughout the year so there is always a new reason to visit.
